PDF Fold is a Chrome extension that lets you merge, reorder, rotate, split, watermark, compress, and convert PDF files, convert between PDF and image formats, and extract tabular data from PDFs into Excel or JSON — all directly in your browser.
PDF Fold does not collect any of the following:
All PDF and image processing happens locally on your device using JavaScript libraries bundled directly into the extension (Mozilla's pdf.js, pdf-lib, JSZip, and SheetJS). PDF Fold makes no network requests to any server, including ours. A file you open in the extension is read into your browser's memory, processed there, and the result is saved to your computer via Chrome's standard download mechanism. Nothing is uploaded anywhere at any point.

Required so the extension can save your converted/edited files (PDFs, images, ZIPs, Excel/JSON exports) to your computer. This permission is not used to read your existing downloads or browsing activity. |
PDF Fold does not request access to your browsing history, other tabs, cookies, or any website content.
PDF Fold does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect or transmit data in the first place. The extension includes open-source libraries (pdf.js, pdf-lib, JSZip, SheetJS) that run entirely within your local browser session; none of them phone home or transmit data externally as used in this extension.
PDF Fold does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional paid tier with account-based licensing — this page will be updated with a new effective date, and the change will be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing before the update is published.
